Ann Hollingsworth Honored

In remarks delivered Saturday evening, June 6, during the Awards Celebration, IFT President Sheri Schellhaass delivered a moving tribute to former IFT President Ann Hollingsworth, who passed away on May 17, following a long illness.
“Ann Hollingsworth recognized what it meant to be a proud member of a community, the food science community,” said Schellhaass. “Ann gave herself to our community. I cannot attempt to put into words all that IFT and our profession has gained from this extraordinary woman. She was a remarkable woman, outstanding food technologist, and inspirational leader in our food science community.”
Members of the audience then joined together to applaud and celebrate Hollingsworth’s life and many contributions to IFT.
