2009 IFT Cares Volunteers Packing boxes of foodIt’s not too late to lend a hand with this year’s IFT Cares philanthropic initiative. Volunteer slots are still open for the packing and sorting activity on Wednesday, June 10, at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.

Participants will be helping to inspect and sort donated food, label products, repack bulk items, and more.

Those interested in volunteering may register on Tuesday, June 9, at the Ticket Desk in the Registration Area in Hall E of the Convention Center during Food Expo hours or at the bus departure site at the front entrance of the Hilton Anaheim on Wednesday morning. Recommended arrival time for those who need to register on site is 7:30 a.m. The bus for the food bank will leave at 8 a.m. and return to the hotel at noon. The registration fee for this activity is $35.
