Displays in the Pavilion will clue you in to Innova’s take on top global food trends, flavor forecasts for 2010, and much more.

One area that’s been attracting considerable attention among show attendees is Innova’s presentation on satiety and weight management trends, reported Robin Wyers of Innova. Food and beverage product launches with satiety claims are on the rise, according to Innova.

Weight management ingredients are broken out into three categories in the Innova Pavilion presentation—satiety, fat distribution, and metabolism.

Satiety ingredients include Beneo (oligofructose), Fabuless, low-GI sugar, Pinnothin, Hoodia Gordonii, inulin, green coffee extract, alginate-pectin calcium gel, and, of course, fiber, among others.

Ingredients with fat distribution benefits include CLA, Chitosan, and Neopuntia.

Innova’s list of ingredients with metabolism benefits includes green tea, guarana, carnitine, B vitamins, secang wood, and probiotics/synbiotics.
