New Format for Town Hall Meeting Fosters Discussion
IFT’s annual Town Hall Meeting, held on Sunday, July 18, had a new format this year—one that allowed the members attending to settle in for some robust discussions on issues of importance to the membership.
The meeting room for the Town Hall gathering was set up to feature five stations—each devoted to one of the following discussion topics: Science Leadership; Divisions Task Force; Annual Meeting Scientific Program; “Ask the Board of Directors;” and ift.org. Town Hall Meeting attendees took the opportunity to move from one “information station” to another and engage in dialogue with one another; IFT volunteer leaders, including IFT President Marianne Gillette, President-Elect Bob Gravani, and incoming President-Elect Roger Clemens; and IFT staff.
